Location is another aspect of an outstanding community.  Barrington Mews has great highway accessibility including the New Jerssey Turnpike as well as Route 295.  Barrington Mews is also minutes away from Kennedy Health System, Deptford and Cherry Hill Malls in which transportation is just steps away.  The Borough of Barrington is a quaint town with many antique shops, bakery, heritage, convenience store, and coffee house.

Barrington Mews provides their tenants with 24-hour emergency maintenance, friendly staff, a social service coordiantor, church services, card games, weekly BINGO, shopping bus to Shop Rite and Walmart in Brooklawn once a month, casino bus trips and much more.

All applicants 55 years of age and older must include a $40.00 money order made payable to Barrington Mews Apts. This is a non-refundable application processing fee.

  • Barrington Mews Senior Housing is a Low Income Housing Tax-Credit Property. Please be advised that eligibility is determined by household size and maximum annual gross income, illustrated as follows:

        IN ORDER FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE PROCESSED YOU MUST SUBMIT A $40.00 APPLICATION FEE (TO COVER THE COST OF A CREDIT CHECK AND A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK) FOR EACH PERSON OVER THE AGE OF 18 THAT WILL RESIDE IN THE UNIT. THIS MUST BE IN THE FORM OF A MONEY ORDER. WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY OTHER FORMS OF PAYMENT FOR THE APPLICATION FEE. IF ANY PROPOSED OCCUPANT HAS BEEN CONVICTED OF A FELONY OR DRUG RELATED CHARGE THEY WILL NOT BE APPROVED FOR OCCUPANCY IN THE APARTMENT AND CANNOT BE ADDED TO THE LEASE.

        A $100 Refundable Money Order is required to hold an apartment with documents required.

        PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT IF PAYMENT AND THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW, ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION PACKET ARE NOT RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. PLEASE COMPLETE ALL SECTIONS OF THIS APPLICATION.

        UPON APPROVAL OF YOUR APPLICATION THERE WILL BE A $400.00 DEPOSIT REQUIRED. THIS DEPOSIT WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT AT THE TIME OF YOUR MOVE-IN. IF FOR ANY REASON YOU DECIDE NOT TO MOVE-IN YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.


        APPOINTMENT LIST
        The following is the list of documentation that must be brought with you to your eligibility interview for housing at Barrington Mews Apartments. Please bring all papers that pertain to your household income.
        ALL household members 18 years of age and older must attend this appointment.

        IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION
        1. Birth Certificate for all household members.
        2. Social Security Cards for all household members.
        3. Drivers license and/or photo ID for all household members 14 years of age and older
        4. Vehicle registration and insurance.
        5. Picture of all members of the household.

        INCOME VERIFICATION
        1. Four (4) recent, consecutive pay stubs if currently employed or unemployment stubs.
        2. Social Security benefits award letter for current year.
        3. Veteran’s and/or other pension award letter.
        4. Court order(s) showing child support and/or alimony payments.
        5. Welfare benefits or other assistance letter(s).
        6. 1040 Federal Tax Return for most recent year and W-2.
        7. All other information concerning household income.

        ASSET INFORMATION
        1. Checking account statements for the last Six (6) months.
        2. Savings accounts statement current month.
        3. IRAs, 401K, CDs, stocks, bonds most recent dividend statement.
        4. Real Estate broker’s assessment of any property owned.
        5. Mortgages or real estate transactions for the past two (2) years.
        6. All other information concerning any assets of the household.
